SEE 10th Year Anniversary Picnic & Concert

Mil Esker to all those involved in helping to make this year’s 10th year anniversary celebration a huge success. The event was pure enjoyment, especially when the raindrops at Lake Sammamish let up and we had an unforgettable performance by Juan Mari Beltran and his band from Euskadi. On behalf of Seattle Euskal Etxea, thank you to all those involved in making it possible for this group of amazing talent to come to Seattle! SEE members and friends had the pleasure of hosting the band during their Seattle tour, and time spent during this cultural exchange will be remembered by all. Thank you to all who contributed towards hosting our guests, and for making them feel comfortable.
The food at this year’s picnic was unforgettable as well..succulent, perfectly seasoned lamb, idiazabal cheese, steaming garbanzos, gourmet chorizo, beet salad, and tortillas and Gateau Basque that were gobbled up in no time. Thank you to all who contributed to the absolutely delicious spread at this year’s picnic. The event was a successful fundraiser, not to mention a lot of fun for the club. A raffle was held at the event, and autographed Beltran band posters, Gerald Hirigoyen wine, Idiazabal cheese, Basque books, and other goodies were given away. Thank you to those who donated items in this year’s raffle, your support and generosity is much appreciated. The Spanish Table in the Pike Place Market helped provide the cheese and wine, and we are glad to have their support and delicious goodies in our own backyard!
